PostSubject: Anime   17th December 2007, 6:29 pm

Seeing as this is an anime forum, I find this appropriate.

I am not a MAJOR anime fan, but I watch a lot of anime, mostly Pokémon and Dinosaur King, being the only two good anime I can see on my TV at the moment.

I really enjoyed Digimon and Monster Rancher before they were cancelled...

I know Digimon is still around in the States, but in most other parts of the world, Digimon is dead.

I'm actually only a fan of Pokémon. But I've never really watched any other form of anime except my friend always told me about Digimon and it sounded cool.

The anime I watch are Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Dinosaur King. Sometimes I may also watch Sonic X or One Piece, but so far I only saw a few episodes.

Mega Man: NT Warrior, Rockman.EXE, Mega Man Battle Network...whatever you wanna call it, it is AWESOME!

I wanna see the uncut Sonic X. I was enjoying the 4Kids version until they started to screw it up more and more...

As for One Piece, I saw some FUNi episodes and enjoyed it, but YouTube keeps taking them off, and I'm WAY off-track, so I'm waiting for FUNi eps to come to Canada.

I also enjoy Digimon immensely (All seasons but 02; don't get me started on that one).

I found Digimon Adventre 02 kinda...weird, but I liked it better than Tamers, Frontier, or Savers...

I watch a lot of Yuugiou and Inuyasha as far as anime goes.

I still absorb myself in the older Pokémon movies, especially movies 5, 3, and 2. Those are my favorites!

I watch DragonBall Z, Zoids, Digimon, and Wolf's Rain too. I just LOVE Digimon to pieces, and I like the anime more than I do the Pokémon anime ^_____^ it's just one of the best, period.

Digimon is my favourite, actually. Shame it isn't on anymore in Canada...

Even though I'm not a big fan of GX, I loved Yu-Gi-Oh!

Whew, Where to begin for my list? oO;

Well let's see, I also waaatch, Naruto, One Piece, Sonic-X ..well kinda..not as much as I used to. Fushigi Yuugi, Princess Tutu, Slayers, Fullmetal Alchemist and Saiyuki are among some of my other favorites. Smile I have a whole lot more but I'd rather not list ALL of them. It'd take too long! XD

PostSubject: Re: Anime   23rd January 2008, 5:42 pm

Slayers is like Pokemon but with swords and sorcery. And not just because of the VAs. It has the same feel and sense of humor, a kind of light adventure comedy. So I love it.

Fullmetal Alchemist is pretty much everyone's anime. I've yet to meet an anime fan who didn't like it.

FLCL is good, but confusing. Worth a watch for the good soundtrack. (the pillows for the win!)

Cromartie High School is a pretty wacky show. I'd compare it to Family Guy, even though I hate that show with a passion, but it really is the only American thing it reminds me of. But at least the jokes get separate storylines.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor is like Slayers in space, essentially, and hilarious, especially if you're a fan of Star Trek/Star Wars/Battlestar Galatica (or any other space opera-type show or movie). I feel bad posting it here, though, since TAJ dubbed it... but ironically, Rachel, Lisa, and Veronica all do voices in it.

Rozen Maiden is fairly new and very entertaining. A beautiful fantasy show with lots of comedy, drama, and adventure.

Maburaho is fanservice-y, but without being creepy/perverted, and very sweet.

Record Of Lodoss War is a good anime for anyone who loves D&D. Swords and sorcery adventure that's a lot like watching a fantasy novel.

Genshiken's only really funny if you're into anime fandom and aren't offended by porn jokes (lots 'o them in this one).

My friend Sam used to have the obsessive hots for Angelwomon, but I don't want to go into specifics. I still am trying to get the hang of Yu-Gi-Oh. I was at a church luncheon (I was in charge of setting up, so I had to go early) last weekend and had taped the last episode and have yet to watch it. I had went to the Off Road Vehicle Park afterward with some kids and I was in charge of towing 2 dirt bikes on a trailer. I had to borrow my friend's Jeep Grand Cherokee with the tow hitch on the back.
